Lazy Lego Days #illumedati #LEGO 1

Hey everyone, it’s Whatever Wednesdays again. Today is just a quick catch up post about “Lazy Lego Days“.

Lazy Lego Days

So I’ve been off work for the past few days and been keeping busy since my son has been off of preschool. However, my daughter is still doing her summer care program.

So it wasn’t that I forgot about Medicine Mondays — but more like I just chose not to write an article and take care of other stuff. This isn’t technically a real post today either, more of just explaining what I’ve been up to.

I had lunch with a friend today — which gave me an idea for Friday’s post. We’re going to ponder the question:

“What have you done for yourself lately?”

Then next week will be a roadmap week to update everything. I need to do some site maintenance and will try to clean up this website a bit too hopefully.

However, today is about Legos….

Today I spent some time with my son building Legos. We have a pretty big stockpile built up. I showed the kids the stockpile and had them each pick out a Lego to build with me the next week.

Lucas chose:

Kylie chose:

I bought these on sale awhile ago I think. Like I said, I tend to add Legos I think are good to my wishlist on Amazon and keep an eye on them. For those who don’t know, you can set up an alert on camelcamelcamel.com to let you know when a certain item goes below a certain price. It’ll send you an email. I know the name “camelcamelcamel” sounds like a little weird/ridiculous, but it’s a real site.

Here’s another picture of the finished product:

Less hiding and more smiles on this one

This particular build is too difficult for him, so I ended up doing most of it. However, his 3D spatial understanding is actually pretty good for a 3 (almost 4) year old. I tried to do one side and have him place the pieces on the other side to “mirror” what I did and he did pretty well. I may need to get him some of the LEGO Junior Sets to ease him into it a bit more before we move up to the regular sets.

TL;DR

Back to a regular Finance Friday post on Friday then Roadmaps next week.

Lazy Lego Days.

My son and I built a Water Strider today.

Heartlake City Resort with my daughter next week sometime probably.
